Local Wisdom in Designing ESP for Community-Based Tourism Practitioners: A Study of Needs Analysis

The present study aimed to investigate the target needs as well learning of English for Specific Purposes (henceforth, ESP) training community-based tourism CBT) practitioners in Meat village, North Sumatera and integration local wisdom design ESP CBT Sumatera. Conducted by using mixed methods, this was carried out involving six village. A questionnaire a focus group discussion were used gather data. data analyzed descriptively provide complete understanding research objectives. findings revealed that consisted participants’ necessities training, lacks, wants towards training. In addition this, comprised content materials, teaching activities, medium instruction, time preference also integrated motivated participants considered providing authentic meaningful experiences. provided an implication material developers contribution studies Indonesian context.
